Now that finals are more or less over for me, I’ve been trying to resume a steady dedicated to ballet. Reawakening those muscles and trying to get back to one’s previous strength and flexibility is a bit of challenge in any dance form if one hasn’t been so good about attending classes or practicing.
What is probably the biggest challenge for me still is getting back into the habit of attending. It is a strange thing. I’m infinitely happier when I’ve gone to a dance class, and I am reasonably confident of that outcome, yet I can be so stubborn about returning. There are so many excuses: too busy, too tired, too cold, too etc. I’m getting better about making those excuses, but it’s a bit of struggle to return and get back into going regularly.
Anyone else have that?
