Part of my practice has been veil lately. I’m more of a swish, twirl, turn, and soon discard kinda person so I’ve working on trying new things. Practicing veil the new cat is an adventure; it’s basically she thinks the silk veil is a toy . She has been sent to many time outs for pouncing on my veils.

Because veil is the prop I’m working with, I’ve been watching more veil. The below clip remains one of my favorites, not just because I studied under Sonya while in Chicago but because this clip embodies wonderful dancing with veil. If you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out.
